Kate and Samantha are from the states and living part of the year in Costa Rica. I bought one of Samantha´s delicious Rice Krispie treats at their roadside stand overlooking Lake Arenal.

Highway 140 To Lake Arenal...
I rode solo today in order to see Lake Arenal. It was a 300 mile day on twisty roads through cloud forest. It turned out to be the most awesome day of the whole trip.Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Look Who's Back...
We weren't very far into the ride this morning when a red Kawasaki came blazing past me. I looked to my left, expecting to see JD, and then I saw the ponytail... It was our Canadian friend, Mike. Noel listens and grins as Mike explains how he spent the night at a fleabag hotel and bribed his way past the Costa Rican customs officials at the crack of dawn.
Pura Vida, eh!
Pura Vida!
"Pura Vida" is a Costa Rican expression which essentially means "life is good!" In my book, $10 lobster captures the essense of "Pura Vida!"
